The compliments and enthusiasm were very much appreciated.  StarCatchers has been in the dance industry for many years now and vowed to keep in touch with dancers, teachers, and directors to be on the pulse of what is important to you. We loved your ideas and there are some changes for 2009 in the awards page and rules and regulations as to what is important to todays dancers. It will be a lot of fun.

StarCatchers Dance Festival continues to reflect the needs and values of dance studios and teachers. StarCatchers brings the beautiful forms of artistic impression, goods teaching and the development of amateur dancers together. Through encouragement, awards and a committed judging panel we enhance and stimulate the knowledge of dance.

From our years of experience with competitions, teaching performing, adjudicating and……kids, we know what makes a competition “platinum standard”. Our adjudicator are knowledge, well rounded, and unbiased. Their comments are constructive, fair, and encouraging. The dedication and hard work put into a competition performance by the student and teacher is always appreciated and recognized. Just as important, the competition is designed to be a learned as well as a fun filled experience. StarCatchers Dance Festivals reflect the love of dance shared by all those involved.

Directors
Sylvia and Lynette both bring different strengths and expertise to StarCatchers but share the same excitement of watching the dancers perform. To promote dance in learning yet fun filled atmosphere is what StarCatchers accomplishes within a positive atmosphere for the kids and yet encourages competition technique, kids’ confidence and old fashioned artistic merit in an up beat and exciting competition. Their love for kids motivates them to achieve this success.

  To keep on the pulse of the dance commmunity to know what is of value to them and their dancers and deliver it.
• Recognizing dancers achievements whether novice or open, mini or senior so they grow with excitment and are stumulated to continue for tomorrow.
• Up beat and exciting competition with awards and surprises beyond trophies!
• All performances recognized as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements.
• Cash awards, Judges choice awards, emcee prizes, scholarships and other great prizes are to recognize abilities of the dancers and highten the atmosphere.
• Judges are well rounded and diverse in dance/associations with teaching experience and age appropriateness recognized. Various ages for styles and critiques.
• Critiques are recorded for studio teachers/directors to listen too.
• NEW:  STUDIOS will be receiving a video recording of their routines.

Most of all StarCatchers is an experience that sends your student home smiling!

Microphones are now permitted within Song and Dance – but you may still choose not to use one (StarCatchers does not supply it).
